I'm sure this is probably an easy question. I've got an old version of Fuse on openSUSE 10.2. How would I update that to the latest version? I've already downloaded the rpm to my desktop.

Thanks

Here is Novell's article on how to use Yast to install rpm files:

http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/trench/11564.html

Since Fuse is already installed, YaST will update the installation of Fuse by simply installing the newer version then deleting the old version.

Any configuration files that need to be updated will be handled by YaST during the update process.

You can use YAST to do it, or go into a terminal window as SuperUser and run rpm -ihv name.rpm

The One Page Linux Manual comes in handy http://homepage.powerup.com.au/~squadron/

I threw out the map a long time ago. Now I go my own direction!

I just noticed the one page Linux Manual. This is going to be very helpful. Thanks for that.
